This year, Responsible Gaming Education Week (RGEW) takes place Sept. 19-25, 2021. Established in 1998, RGEW was created to address the challenges associated with problem gambling and to promote responsible gaming nationwide.
As part of Responsible Gaming Week, Global Payments has become the newest partner to join AGA’s Have A Game Plan. ® Bet Responsibly.™ public service campaign. Originally launched in 2019, the campaign encourages patrons to follow a game plan, ensuring safe and responsible wagering as the legal sports betting market continues to expand. The key parts to this initiative include:
- Set a budget and stick to it.
- Keep it social: play with friends, family, and colleagues.
- Be informed: learn the details of the games you’re playing.
- Play with trusted licensed, regulated operators.
As a partner, Global Payments will incorporate Have a Game Plan into its social media channels and customer-facing marketing. Additionally, Global Payments has dedicated its weekly blog series to raising awareness about the importance of responsible gaming throughout the month of September.
